TOCCATA-Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus presents American violin virtuoso Elizabeth Pitcairn performing Wieniawski's dazzling "Violin Concerto #2"; and more than 100 singers and instrumentalists in Mendelssohn’s spectacular “Elijah.” We bring the concert to you, performing in 4 different venues (see below).
Elizabeth Pitcairn is one of America's most beloved soloists. She performs with the legendary "Red Mendelssohn" Stradivarius of 1720 (the "red violin"). Enjoy her mind-blowing technique and stunning musicality.
"Elijah" has angels singing from on high; depictions of storms, earthquakes, lightning and fierce winds; and lovely music!
