Guest conductor, Dr. Pierre Tang leads the symphony in an unforgettable evening of celebrating the distinctive voices of American music. Aaron Copeland's Pulitzer-Prize winning ballet suite, Appalachian Spring, captures the essence of American optimism, and centers around two young newlyweds and their new home, and is paired with the choral celebration of joy in, Jubilate Deo, by Dan Forrest. Jubilate Deo brings Psalm 100 into a 50-minute journey across seven languages and cultures. This performance showcases America's modern and diverse musical voice, and pays tribute to unity, heritage, and new horizons.
