String Band Stories
Event Description:
This Spring, we are offering a series of Saturday workshops that include "hands on" activities, discussions, musical instruction and performances designed to explore the unique history of American String Bands, dating back to the early 20th Century. Bluegrass, Old Time, Folk and (one can argue), even Rock and Roll are all examples of string bands.
"String Band Stories" will consist of 4 Saturday sessions, each 2 weeks apart. We are offering this program free to High School and College students with IDs.
We are still working out all the details, but anticipate having some well-known String Band experts and performers to help us with this program. Registrations will open on November 15.

Price:
Adults can enroll for $20 per session, or $60 for all 4 sessions (NNBA members get 20% off with their Member Number)
