38th Annual Bowers Bluegrass Festival
A Bluegrass Music Festival where wild horses roam? Yes, it's true. Washoe Valley is a protected space; the mighty Sierra mountain range rises to the west, and the pinion & juniper-covered Virginia range slopes easily to the east. The area is home to more than two thousand wild horses and an abundance of bird species. Bring binoculars, drive carefully, and look around with intention. There's a lot to see!

The Bowers Bluegrass Festival takes place in the daylight hours, as the park has no lighting. So you'll have ample evening jamming time at our Group Camp at Washoe Lake State Park. Click here for more info about Washoe Valley.
