The campus of the University of Nevada Reno makes for a nice day out. Explore the new student center, check out the knowledge center, stroll along tree-lined paths, grab a bite to eat and then buy some Pack gear. Or even go so far as to come to a game and root the home team to victory. Lawlor Events Center on campus is also the site of many performances and similar events. Since the state legislature approved its move from Elko to Reno in 1885, the University has been an anchor of the Northern Nevada region and has helped to shape the very community of the Truckee Meadows.
