What You Will Learn:
- Get acquainted with the essential tools and materials, including different types of beads, threads, and needles.
- Learn how to select the best materials for durability and style and how to follow patterns or make your own.
Basic Stitches and Techniques:
- Brick & Square Stitch: Learn to create detailed and structured designs perfect for earring shapes.
- Fringe Work: Add dynamic movement to your earrings with various fringe styles.
- Design and Pattern Creation: Learn to design your unique patterns and transfer them onto your beading projects.
- Tips & Techniques for ensuring your earrings are durable and professional-looking.
- Learn how to select and utilize a variety of metal findings and incorporate different shaped beads and charms into seed bead work for creating unique patterns and designs.
Each participant will receive a pattern, instructions, and all necessary materials to create one pair of seed bead earrings, including Japanese and Czech glass seed beads, needles, stringing material, and earring findings. While the basic form will be the same for all participants there are several patterns and lots of colors to choose from.
If you have difficulty seeing small beads, there will be several mountable magnifiers available to use and share.
