Since 1988, Tempest has been blending high-energy Folk Rock with Irish, Scottish, and Norwegian influences, earning worldwide acclaim. The San Francisco Bay Area-based band has released 18 albums and played over 2,500 gigs.
Led by Oslo's Lief Sorbye, the band's current line-up features all original members, including Bay Area guitarist Rob Wullenjohn, San Diego's Ian Butler on bass, Vermont fiddler Jon Berger, and Cuban-born drummer Adolfo Lazo, who has never missed a show in over 30 years.
Known for their electrifying performances, Tempest is a staple at prestigious festivals like The Philadelphia Folk Festival, Skagen Festival, and Cropredy Festival. Their latest album, Going Home, continues their legacy of innovative folk-rock.
