Community Honors The Melting Pot Emporium
Come join us for a heartfelt community sendoff to The Melting Pot Emporium! Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve To Issue Proclamation.
The community will come together to honor the numerous contributions the Melting Pot Emporium has made over the years to Reno’s culture and identity on the main stage at Reno Public Market. Its owners, Eric and Monique Baron, will be given a proclamation from the City of Reno by Mayor Hillary Schieve.
With the recent closure of the beloved Melting Pot Emporium, Junkee Exchange, located in the Reno Public Market, proudly steps in to carry the torch as the new central hub for radical self-expression, playa prep, and all things Burning Man in Reno's Midtown District.
As a tribute to the legacy of the Melting Pot Emporium, Junkee will be featuring a “Melting Pot Memories” installation in-store through September – a living art piece celebrating the styles, community, and history of the iconic retailer.
Much of the Melting Pot’s remaining merchandise will be incorporated into Junkee making it Northern Nevada premiere shopping experience to prepare for the playa. Additionally, Monique Baron plans to incorporate some styles inside Junkee indefinitely.
