The Reno Gem & Mineral Society’s “Jackpot of Gems” returns to Reno with three days of rocks, gems, fossils, jewelry, interactive educational experiences and family fun. Over 50 vendors offer one-of-a-kind treasures! There are artisan demonstrations, fascinating presentations and kid activities! Free admission and parking, September 18–20, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. Over 50 vendors offer an incredible selection of gemstones, crystals, fossils, minerals, handcrafted jewelry, beads, lapidary equipment and unique treasures! There’s artisan demonstrations of jewelry-making, stone carving, faceting, cabochon cutting and more. Fascinating presentations explore geology, mineralogy, fossils and gems. Kids can participate in activities like gold panning, explore interactive exhibits, and learn about Earth science through fun and engaging experiences!
