Event Description:
Since 2004, KTMB has organized the Truckee River Cleanup Day where volunteers come together to keep our Truckee River and its surrounding watershed clean for all to enjoy.
Cleanup and beautification projects span from Verdi to Lockwood. Projects include storm-drain stenciling, litter pickup, graffiti removal, in-the-river trash removal (by kayakers and flyfishers), weed pulling and park beautification projects. In 2019 alone, 764 volunteers removed almost 50 tons of trash and green waste from the Truckee River Watershed.
