10th Annual Polio Purple Pinkie Trail Run & Walk
You are invited to join the Rotary Club of Reno Centennial Sunset and Immunize Nevada for the 10th Annual Polio Purple Pinkie Trail 10K Run & 5K Run/Walk.
The run/walk will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Washoe County’s Rancho San Rafael Park – runners and walkers are all invited. Late registration will be available on-site from 8-9:30 AM. The 5k and 10k races will begin at 10:00 AM. All participants will receive an official event hat, a state of the art timing system service that will text message instant results, refreshments/beer truck (please bring ID), local business exhibits, professional photography, and a fun time for the whole family!
The Polio Purple Pinkie Trail Run has raised roughly $55,500 over the past 9 years for the Rotary Foundation’s Polio Plus Fund, the RCS Rotary Foundation Inc. and Immunize Nevada. All proceeds raised for Polio Plus are matched 2 to 1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This money directly supports immunization campaigns in developing countries where polio continues to infect and paralyze children, robbing them of their futures and compounding the hardship faced by their families.
