Reno Ballroom, Ramon Ayala
Event Description:

For over 40 years, Ramon Ayala has mastered the artistry of playing accordion, singing and songwriting and has defined norteño music with signature songs and definitive instrumental styling that has made him a superstar on both sides of the El Rio Grande. THE ROW welcomes back Ramon Ayala Friday, Feb. 8 at the Reno Ballroom with special guests Los Tiranos del Norte.

Son of musician Ramon Cobarrubias, Ayala began playing his favorite instrument, the accordion, at a very young age and performed in different public places to help support his family. Today he is known as the “King of the Accordion.”

Ayala continues to be a classic singer who is remembered as one of the founders of the modern norteño music. He has won and has been nominated for several GRAMMY™ awards – both the American and Latin versions – including best album for “En Vivo… El Hombre Y Su Música,” “Un Rinconcito En El Cielo” and “Chaparra de Mi Amor.” His influence on modern music cannot be overstated, as most norteño groups today use this style as their musical foundation.

Tickets will go on sale Saturday, Nov. 17 starting at $49.50 and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or by calling 775-325-7401.
