Pick of the Pack Fundraiser
The Nevada Humane Society (NHS), a nonprofit animal shelter dedicated to saving and improving the lives of pets in northern Nevada, will kick off its second annual Pick of the Pack Fundraising Raffle, presented by Dick Campagni’s Carson City Toyota. From August 22 through November 29, community members can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a 2025 Toyota Corolla Hatchback SE or $15,000 in cash, all while helping local homeless pets find loving homes. Tickets are $20 each or six for $100, with proceeds benefiting the Nevada Humane Society’s programs.
The fundraiser begins with a Kickoff Adoption Event on Friday, August 22, from 10 a.m. to noon at Carson City Toyota, where attendees can meet a variety of animals, adopt pets and buy raffle tickets onsite. Pick of the Pack replaces the NHS Duck Race event as the nonprofit’s fall fundraiser.
Throughout the season, tickets will be available at:
- Both Nevada Humane Society campuses in Reno and Carson City
- Dick Campagni’s Carson City Toyota
- Online at nevadahumanesociety.org/pickofthepack
- Select University of Nevada, Reno home football games, where NHS will host a tailgate adoption experience featuring adoptable pets and raffle ticket sales.
The winning ticket will be drawn on November 29 during halftime at the Nevada vs. UNLV football game, one of the most anticipated rivalries of the year. Last year’s raffle raised critical funds for area pets and crowned Zaira R. as the 2024 Pick of the Pack winner.
Participants must be 18 or older, and tickets must be purchased in the state of Nevada. The winner is responsible for all applicable taxes and fees. Tickets can be purchased online beginning August 22.
