Join Nevada Humanities for an afternoon of creativity and reflection. Begin by personalizing your own journal with provided stickers, markers, and collage materials. Next, add to your journal through free-writing prompts on themes related to food, community, and shared traditions. The workshop will conclude with an optional group sharing activity.
Whether you love to craft, enjoy journaling, or have never tried either, allow your creativity to flow through communal crafting and personal reflection. Slow down and intentionally connect with your thoughts and create a special object you can come back to again and again.
Journals and crafting supplies will be provided; participants are welcome to bring their own journals and supplies.
Around the Table programming is produced by Nevada Humanities as part of the national initiative By the People: Conversations Beyond 250, which is a series of community-driven programs created by humanities councils in collaboration with local partners, and was developed by the Federation of State Humanities Councils and the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage.
