Nevada Historical Society, Artown Talks - On The GO! Dear Comrade: Correspondence and Other Records of the Nevada Colony Corporation
Event Description:

In 1916, a socialist colony was founded outside of Fallon. Established by the Nevada Colony Corporation and known as Nevada City, it attracted interest from individuals nationwide and internationally. Less than three years later, the colony had dissolved. Through the records of the Nevada Colony Corporation, issues of the community’s paper “The Co-Operative Colonist,” and other sources, learn about this experimental community's rapid rise and fall.

Learn about Nevada's socialist colony by guest speaker, Sarah Patton, NHS Archivist.
