The Assistance League began with a Senior Sampler Gift Shop where crafters age 60 and older could display their items and receive 100 percent of the cost of the sale. That gift shop still exists today, but a larger thrift shop has been incorporated into it, and the profits are donated to more than 10 charities that benefit Reno residents. You’ll find reasonably priced clothing, shoes, accessories, kitchen and dining pieces, linens and furniture. Everything is well organized, but if you need help the senior volunteers who operate the store will be happy to assist you.
