Opened by Basque immigrants in 1967, Louis' Basque Corner is a mainstay of old downtown Reno. Louis' serves authentic and traditional Basque cuisine like rabbit stew, oxtail, lamb chops, sweetbreads and more in a welcoming, family-style dining room. The restaurant celebrates the Basque culture that made Northern Nevada its home during the Gold Rush and beyond. The restaurant and bar serve dinner every day of the week and lunch five days a week. The bar is stocked with an extensive collection of wines. Of course it serves Picon Punch, a famous Basque cocktail. Upstairs is a recently renovated bar area, perfect for weekend nightlife with a pool table, a jukebox and an excellent view of downtown Reno.
