For more than a decade, Reno Bike Project has been dedicated to getting citizens on bicycles and making Reno a more bike-friendly place. Its main function is as a center for people to get together, learn about cycling and generate a community in Reno for bike lovers. Its shop on 4th Street just east of downtown is full of bicycles for sale or for rent, all originally donated to Reno Bike Project and now repurposed and remodeled. You'll find racks of mountain, road and other bikes that are 10, 20 and 30 years old, fixed up good as new and ready to hit the roads again. Check out RBP's group events, classes and programs for all ages happening every week.
