Reno has had several minor league soccer teams in the past, but the excitement has never been louder than now for the new Reno 1868 Football Club. The team was named by fans in a contest and made its debut in the United Soccer League in 2017, just in time for the 150th anniversary of the founding of the City of Reno (1868). The 1868 FC is affiliated with the San Jose Earthquakes (with the Earthquakes' former assistant coach now at the helm) and plays other minor league teams at Greater Nevada Field in Downtown Reno. Get your tickets and root for the Nevada flag-inspired 1868 FC colors of deep blue, silver and gold.
