It hosts more than 100 events a year by its three resident companies, Reno Philharmonic Orchestra, A.V.A. Ballet Theatre and Artown, as well as a variety of international tours and local programming. Since 1995 the center also has presented a series called Broadway Comes to Reno. Located in the heart of Downtown Reno, PCPA houses a 1,500-seat mainstage auditorium, the 150-seat Pioneer Underground cabaret theater and the E.L. Cord Plaza for outdoor events and performances. PCPA also has youth arts education programming that has served more than a million children over the last 50 years.
