Event Description: 

The public is invited to attend a nature walk guided by both a naturalist and local Nevada poet or writer to create a deeper connection between education and stewardship and our connection to place. These walks will happen monthly at different trails in the region.

Nevada Humanities is launching Humanities in Nature in partnership with Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation. humanities in Nature is a series of outdoor nature walks that are part of the Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation's Discover Your Parks walk series at northern Nevada parks. The Humanities in Nature walk series introduces northern Nevada residents to their outdoor environment and encourages exploration and reimagination of the outdoors through the lens of human connection and creation. The public is invited to participate in these walks that will be guided by both a naturalist and a humanities expert to create a deeper connection between ecological education and stewardship and our connection to place.

A full listing of upcoming Humanities in Nature walks locations and start times is on the Nevada Humanities website. Registration for each walk opens the Friday before the Humanities in Nature walk. Support for this program comes in part from the City of Reno.
